After 5 years on the dark side, weighing 15-20 more pounds than I should, I am thinking of going vegetarian once again. I lost a ton of weight the first time I did it...just because I had limitations to my diet I assume...(that was when I was 14)
Not as easy as it sounds for someone as impulsive as I am...but I gotta at least try it..
Just to be able to adhere to some kind of regemine is good for my mind, because it is so hard for me to do.
I am not gonna be vegan...just back to my old non-flesh eating self again...I will take it one week at a time...and see how long it takes before I no longer salivate at the smell of fajitas...

I will miss you all.

just kidding...I will most likely be as flakey as ever.

I was a vegetarian (some seafood) for 10 years. When I discovered the Blood Type Diet, it made some sense to me so I gave it a try for 2 months. I am blood type O which is supposed to be the carnivore. I went from tofu to steak overnight. I felt great. That was 7 years ago. I have not looked back. Everyone I know who follows the Blood Type Diet reports stuff like it allowed them to lose that 10 lbs they've been trying to lose for 10 years. For me, it helped identify several food intolerances I have which I had previously only suspected.

      Fascinating.
I would have to get my blood type tested again. I forgot what i am, but I think it is something pretty common..I know it isn't O.
I seemed to lose weight without limiting my fat intake at all when i was a vegetarian...as long as I squeezed some raw fruits and veggies into my diet here and there.

Blood type A is supposed to be the vegetarian. If you are A, you would probably do better on a diet that is low in red meat.

One of my clients is a natural foods company that sells hemp food...hemp protein, hemp oil, hemp nut. Hemp is a superior vegetarian protein source...better than the likes of soy. Hemp is also superior to flax for essential fatty acids. Apparently, if you have a hemp protein smoothie (with juice, not milk) every time you felt hungry during the day, you would automatically start to lose weight. I have not done this personally but they have a stack of testimonials from people who have had great results.

I am a hardcore carnivore but I still have a hemp protein smoothie every day. In case you're wondering, it's all certified THC-free. It will not make you fail a drug test.

          ...or freak out...
I am possibly allergic to THC...it causes huge panic attacks..I can nary take a toke without causing serious mental trauma...not exaggerating..
Neet..I will try to get hemp oil on my next long journey to health food store way across town.
          Anyhow..I take lots of flax.
I do believe I am blood type A..
So far i have been without meat for I think about 4 days..
Just seeing how long it takes before I flake again.
          I crave fajitas
          very frequently.
No longer can my boyfriend and I
          split monster chicken burrito..
The vegetarian equivalent just isn't as good..

Personally, I think if you crave meat, you should eat meat, and not deprive yourself or scold yourself for failure. Although there's a lot that's hideously wrong with the meat industry and current farming practices, I really don't think that there's anything morally wrong with eating it per se. Things in nature eat other things. And some people really do need the nutrients it contains.

We derive far too little enjoyment of food, and of ourselves, in this culture.

              Enjoyyour food!
